Dr. Jae Won PARK Senior Partner VIAC, Member of Blue Ocean Strategy Network

Dr. Jae Won Park is the Senior Partner of VIAC (Value Innovation Action Camp) in Korea, which is a member of the Blue Ocean Strategy Network (BOSN) founded by Professors W. Chan Kim and Renee Mauborgne at INSEAD. He is also the President of LSI Consulting which represents the American Management Association in Korea.

He was formerly a Professor at INSEAD, a Research Director at LG Economic Research Institute, a Senior Economist at ING Baring Securities and a Director and Head of Research at Salomon Brothers JV in Korea.

Dr. Park is a Blue Ocean Strategy Expert officially qualified by Professors Kim and Mauborgne. He has led many Blue Ocean Strategy projects for major Korean companies like LG Electronics, Samsung SDS, Shinhan Bank and public institutions such as the Korean Ministry of Defense and the Korean Army, serving as a facilitator and a coach in their endeavors to find their own blue oceans. He has been a frequent lecturer on Blue Ocean Strategy in many executive programs at both universities and large global corporations such as Nokia, DuPont, Samsung, LG and CIMB, not only in Korea but also in mainland China, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand and etc.

He earned a M. Phil and a Ph.D. (1990) in Economics and Finance from the Business School at Columbia University in the US and a Bachelor's degree in Economics (1985) from Seoul National University. He was voted as the Best Professor of the Year by MBA students while in INSEAD.

Dr. Park was born in 1962 and is happily married with two children living in Seoul, Korea.
